Year One

I noticed them.

They noticed me.

And then I got the golden ticket.

After two months of grinding over 50 distinct resumes being sent out (literally) and coming up with anything but roses, I finally found my new space. A place that was wonderfully aligned with both my personal and career values.

Last week marked my one year anniversary at the best company I’ve collaborated with during my 20+ year career story. I hold so much gratitude for the people I get to partner with each day to make a difference in a broken healthcare system.

Some random thoughts one year in:

  • Truly supporting women and families through holistic healthcare is the best feeling ever.

  • My years of love for building online community is utilized in Slack every. single. day. I love how I get to engage with all my coworkers as if they were in an office space next to me. Emojis and GIFs are a currency I spend lavishly on the best Care Team ever.

  • It’s a strange but good feeling shifting from being one of the youngest on a team to being one of the oldest on a team.

  • Working from home is my favorite.

  • It’s refreshing to work for a company who expects me to use my PTO and not just plug along months on end without a break.

At the moment, what's one thing within your career that's lighting you up like Clark Griswold’s house?
